DIY Pallet projects are all the rage right now. I wanted to find a project to plan for this Spring. There’s so many cool pieces on Pinterest. I found myself getting frustrated though because I’d click through so many pins to find most were just pictures, but no instructions. So I’ve rounded up 10 of my favourites – with full instructions – all in one place to give you guys some crafty inspiration.
1. Pallet Coffee Table
Who needs to go to a furniture store and pay high prices for a rustic looking coffee table? I love the barn board feel of this one, built by www.palletideas.info. And if you wanted to dress it up a little you could always stain it. Get the full instructions here.
2. Pallet Wood Sofa
How gorgeous is this shabby chic pallet sofa created by Funky Junk Interiors?? I want this for my front porch! For the full tutorial, click here.
3. Pallet Planter Boxes
These Planter boxes are a great way to dress up your front porch or deck. Buying big, trendy plant boxes from a garden center can get pricey. Get the detailed instructions from Instructables.com here.
4. Rustic Potting Bench
I have always wanted a potting bench. Every year I try to cover up the fact that our deck is old and weathered by placing as many colourful potted plants on it as possible. I try to buy my plants and reuse planters from previous years. I always tend to do my planting on the deck and I make a huge mess. I’d love to have a bench like this to contain my mess and not have to bend over and hurt my back while I pretend I have a green thumb. Get the plans by woodworking.formeremortals.net here.
5. All in One Cat Box
I’m loving this cat box by www.ahlly.com. The herringbone pattern is beautiful. It would be great for containing the smell of kitty litter and would keep a dog from eating the cat food. Watch the how-to video here.
6. Pallet Planter
This is probably the easiest tutorial I’ve found. And so cute! You could also use it for herbs.
Get the how-to by The Micro Gardener, here.
I also managed to find a link to the cute, decorative shovel hooks for added details.
7. Pallet Dog Bed
This dog bed looks so inviting! A great weekend project your pet will love. Tutorial created by Ruggy DIY available here.
8. Pallet Playhouse
Your kids will be the envy of the neighborhood with this awesome playhouse. This would be a fun project to either surprise your kids with or get them involved with the building process. Check out the plans by 1001pallets.com here.
9. Pallet Wood Toy Box
This box is a great idea for hiding all those toys in one place. I’m pretty impressed the person who built this had never worked with pallets before! Check out their instructions on home-dzine.co.za here.
10. Rustic Cooler
Dress up a boring plastic cooler and add a great conversation piece to your deck this Summer. The Home Repair Tutor put together a great step by step guide here.
Get the hardware – Wall mounted metal bottle opener set here.
